Bill Frisell: We're Not From Around Here

Bill Frisells wide-ranging musical tastes have led him to produce some of the most exciting jazz recordings of the last few decades. A Jim Hall disciple who spent his early years as ECMs house guitarist, Frisell has thrived on creating music historically rooted in jazz while incorporating instrumentation and repertoire somewhat atypical to jazz. A prime example is Nashville, his country-influenced record that won the Down Beat Critics Poll in 1998.
